Shade the space you'll use
New Sunstone homes come with a small back slab. A cover that only shades the slab often leaves the table in afternoon sun. Decide where you'll actually sit, then size the cover to shade that area at 4 or 5 p.m., not noon. West-facing yards need the most depth.
Insulated or solid aluminum
